Origin Story: Alfa-Romeo – Part III

The third installment of the Alfa-Romeo origin story begins with a brief overview of the designers, engineers, leaders and institutions that supported the Italian manufacturer from The Great Depression to the end of World War II. The story also looks at the evolution of Alfa-Romeo post World War II and the people who influenced its most successful eras and assisted it in its most trying of financial times.

NARRATIVE: MONOPOLY

A monopoly is described as an exclusive control or possession of the trade in a commodity or service. As an unwritten fact, the automotive design and coach-building industry has for long been considered monopolized by Italians. However, in an age where car manufacturers design their own products, coach-builders are now seen as a way of the past. Perhaps it would be worth noting that there was a time when these design houses were all the rage.
